When setting boundaries with others, it is important to remember that the way they react to your boundaries is a reflection of themselves. Those who don't have any boundaries with others, tend to really struggle when someone sets a boundary with them. It can be a rocky start, but it does get easier once you start doing it. If others respect you, then they should accept and respect your boundaries.
For me, self-care isn't just about physical things. Thats why the self-care card deck is a mix of physical things you can do for your body - such as, brushing your hair, moisturising your body, or going for a walk. As well as a mix non-physical things... like reaching out to an old friend you haven't connected with for a while, saying no to people (setting boundaries), cutting out toxic people from your life.
